And I'm finally getting around to actually posting something again. Is it not nifty?

In other (random) news, Anne and I are going to be rerunning Broadway at the end of September this year. We are insane. And we have started on the hyperactive revisions, etc, again. My character sheets certainly needed *something*. Like help. And a razor blade to take out the completely irrelevant stuff. *sigh* I'm getting better, really I am.

In other news (?), work has been BORING this whole week. I have had almost nothing to do for the past two days, so I'm making up for it by checking email 3 times an hour. :) And tonight I will go see Henry V on the Common. If anyone wants to come meet me and Tim, we should be dead center, probably near the front, since I work in the area and will be going straight there.

And I really need to drop one of the games I am in. Three weekly games is too many. And I will be adding more as I have the chance. *sigh* From too few games to too many. I will go back to too few again soon, I imagine.

And there was the one two nights ago where one of the cafeteria guys at my company was sitting around telling me how he got married yesterday, though he hadn't been dating anyone before then. I don't understand!

So, Anne decided that she didn't like the changes I made to my other site as much as she liked the first colors. So I decided to stick them up here instead. Is this better? I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do. I don't have anything particularly exciting I can do here, so I think this will be about it. We'll see if I get inspired at some point when I'm out of things to do at work again.

Not like that's going to happen any time soon. I just checked my filing drawer and discov ered that no one has done any in the week I was gone. And I was two weeks backed up before hand. ARGH! Now I have to go do that. In my copious free time. Ah, the life of a library lackey...

Today has been my day for running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Taking off 10 days for vacation sounds like such a wonderful idea until you get back to work and find huge piles of everything. *grr* Actually this wasn't too bad. My boss did most of the books that came in, so I only have a small pile of things.

And 160 emails.

*sigh*

But I managed to get caught up on *most* of my work, though I haven't touched the books, and all of my personal email. We'll see how the rest goes.

But, you ask, how was your vacation??? Well, it was cool. I went to visit the 'rents. They have no concept of the words "rest and relaxation" but it was fun anyway. We helped remodel the condo (see above note about rest) drove all over the place, saw two plays (The Nerd which was OK and Oklahoma! which was a great local production), saw lots of people I knew and lots of people I don't know, didn't go to church and went to see Alegria. That last thing made my whole trip. What can I say, I love Cirque du Soleil. And it's all YOUR fault. Well, you had help, but...:) So, who wants to go to Las Vegas and see O and Mystere??

I'm finally able to walk down stairs without ridiculous amounts of pain today. Running up and down Anne's stairs was just PAINFUL!! But they are moved and now I no longer have to run up and down them any more. YAY! And you are welcome for the Triscuits. That's why we bring such things to moving parties.

And today's my last day at work for a while. Woohoo!! I'm going on vacation! OK, so it's to smoky Colorado, but I think my brother and I have gotten it through my parent's heads that we are tired and need to relax. No camping or day long hiking or driving here there and everywhere. Whew! Tim is mighty happy for the no camping part. The problem is that now we have to pack. UGH!

Ouch, ouch, ouch. Next time I whine about wanting to paint I will have to remember this day. Yesterday, I spent almost 13 hours at Anne and Eric's new place painting. And painting. And painting. I got there at 11 am. I left at 12:15 am. (Yes, that's the next morning. Very early the next morning.) Admittedly, we didn't start until noon or so, and we had a lunch break at 2 or so, but still. I didn't have dinner and my arm feels like lead. But I got in today. This is a miracle in and of itself. *sigh*

Yes, this is much easier to update than my real web page. Now all I need to do is come up with a real layout. In my copious free time.

Oh, and another thing. I found this new author. Her name is Elizabeth Hayden and I really really liked this trilogy she wrote. The books are Rhapsody, Prophecy, and Destiny. Much coolness. Each book is between 600 and 800 pages long. And I had no idea where it was going for most of it. And the end still confuses me. It's *wonderful*.

Wow, I haven't done this much coding in a while... Will have to work on that. Later.

So, I keep reading all these other blogs... And it's actually inspired me to do a little bit of that myself, though God knows who might actually read the silly thing. Hmmm, I should link this from my web page, no?
